Professional Australian football player Patrick Cripps is currently participating with the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League. He recently cut his long-time favorite hairstyle, a mullet, which he sported for many years previously; we will all see how this new haircut affects him going forward!
He looks sharp on and off-field with his new haircut. The 27 year old midfielder’s hair was short, messy and unkempt as he arrived for training this Monday morning but now with his latest buzz cut hairstyle, he has been transformed into a different person – looking nothing like we have seen him before in the past.
Patrick Cripps Haircut
Patrick Cripps has been sporting a mullet haircut for the past few years, but now he has finally gotten rid of it and donated it to cancer patients. The experience with cutting off his hair was an incredible one and he feels lighter on both ends of the field.
Cripps posted a picture of himself looking refreshed with a caption that read: Back to my old self again. I’ve donated my haircut to kids who are undergoing cancer treatments.
Carlton star player Jarrod Pickett has grown out his hair since 2017 and donated it to charity. On Monday evening, during the Blues’ annual Longest Hair Competition at Ikon Park, Pickett cut off his long mane. Proceeds will go towards research funding children’s cancer treatment.
Patrick Cripps Career
One of Australia’s most promising football players, Patrick Cripps currently plays for the Carlton Football Club. He is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Drafted at number nineteen in 2013, he has continued his incredible play on both offense and defense.
Patrick Cripps was born in Australia’s heartland of Bendigo, Victoria. His parents were instrumental in fostering his talent for sport at an early age when they enrolled him at the local Catholic school, St Joseph’s College and later helped him find a place on their local TAC side, the Pioneers FC. Patrick excelled there too before moving up to play senior football with Bacchus Marsh Football Club in the Goulburn Valley Football League (GVFL) where he still plays today.
Cripps made his AFL debut in a match against Gold Coast Suns at Etihad Stadium on 23 May 2014. In Round 5, 2016, Cripps fractured his right fibula while playing against Fremantle at Domain Stadium. This sidelined him for 8 weeks with injury.
Mullet Haircut
Mullet haircuts are one way for a man to maintain his long hair without shaving their head or getting a buzzcut. The name for these haircuts comes from the word mule because it resembles that animal’s tail, being noticeably longer and fuller at the front than on top of its back. This hairstyle is worn most often by those who refuse to shave their head or get a buzzcut as they age.
Mullets were trendy in the 1980s and 1990s, with celebrities like Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake sporting it now. There are many variations of mullets too: Business in the front and Party in the back or Hippie in the front, Hipster in the back – some women wear it too.
Buzz Haircut
Buzz cuts are popular among men because they offer many styling options and allow for freedom of expression. A Buzz cut is characterized by having the sides and back cut at a very short length while the hair on top of your head can grow long or remain trimmed to about an inch high. For instance, my own Buzz cut has been described as uniquely stylish because it utilizes both styles – I prefer mine styled with its shorter side cropped close to my head (and sometimes even buzzed!)
How to get the Patrick Cripps Haircut?
Cripps’ favorite hairstyle is a mullet, which he wears with great poise. This hairstyle features hair that goes long at the top of the head and gradually transitions to being shorter at the back of the neck, where one could cut their hair very short or shave it all off.
If you want to mimic Cripps’ hairstyle, here are some tips on how to make it happen:
1) It might seem intimidating, but in order to achieve this haircut right it takes a pro. Find someone that specializes in hairstyling either locally or online – they’re out there! Just remember: you’ll need someone who has experience with haircuts of this style because it can be difficult for those trying to do so on their own.
2) Before going for your haircut, make sure you don’t have more than three inches of hair at the top of your head- if not, then you’re going to end up with a faux-mullet instead.
Mullets have always been popular for both celebrities and everyday people. Famous mullets such as Elvis Presley, David Bowie, Patrick Swayze and Tom Brady are still being seen today by those who want to channel their inner rockstar or football star; while newer celebs like Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Ian Somerhalder and Reese Witherspoon sport the fabled look. Mullets never seem to die out – they just keep coming back again and again over time because they work with so many different personalities or fashion statements.
