Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Pandey can rest easy knowing their film Pati Patni Aur Woh did well in its second weekend too. The Saturday morning opening number was Rs. 4.88 crores, which is up from Thursday’s start of Rs. 4.36 crores.
The movie has made Rs. 63.90 crores, which is fairly high and the collections are expected to reach Rs.70 crores by the end of this coming week-end. For a while there, it seemed as if we were looking at lifetime numbers of about Rs.80 crores; however, trends now indicate that we may just reach an even higher figure -Rs.85 crores
The movie would’ve definitely been a contender for Rs. 100 Crore Club had it not been competing with Dabangg 3 (which releases this Friday). Even though Jumanji and Mardaani 2 are getting higher footfalls, the Mudassar Aziz-directed movie is doing pretty well too. That being said, the film has already done decently without having to worry about what other films are doing – so far at least; there’s still a chance of becoming a superhit as well!
