Pati Patni Aur Woh looks set to become a successful hit at the box office. The movie began strongly [Rs. 9.10 crores] and had strong momentum all through the weekend, peaking on Sunday with collections totaling Rs. 14.51 crores more than Saturday. These are great figures for the movie and marks Kartik Aaryan’s highest-grossing venture in his career that has been witnessing notable progress in recent years.
Mudassar Aziz’s effort has already made an impressive Rs. 35.94 crores in its opening weekend, bringing a great success for Bhumi Pednekar as her second consecutive hit movie after Bala. Ananya Panday also celebrates this achievement as the film is trending even higher than Student of the Year 2 and will quickly exceed its lifetime collections [73 crores].
Pati Patni Aur Woh’s weekend numbers could have easily surpassed 40 crores if not for the box-office competition from Panipat. While the film does not appear to be a great threat, audiences have been divided among two movies, resulting in a difference of around five crore from what it would have achieved in its absence.
Even so, Pati Patni Aur Woh achieved a highly impressive opening weekend, and its potential will depend on the performance of weekday attendance.
