After Akshay Kumar scoring his first double century with Mission Mangal, the movie managed to bring in Rs. 7.02 crores and that has pushed its overall score up to Rs. 200.16 crores from here it will make Rs. 3-4 crores more which would put it at about Rs. 205 crores in total – but there’s always a chance for just one or two more minutes of running time for it to go beyond this threshold too!
Of late, Akshay Kumar has been scoring big centuries with his 2.0 (Hindi) and Mission Mangal grossing over Rs. 150 crores in less than a month. This is already his tenth consecutive success starting from Airlift up until Ek Tha Tiger where he played only one lead role -except for Padman which ironically won an award at the National level.
His next project will be Houseful 4 but what’s intriguing is that his most anticipated movie will be coming out during Diwali where his team-up project with Rajinikanth might become the biggest Independence day blockbuster breaking records previously set by several hits such as Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger (Rs. 199 crores).
