Medina is known for it’s green dome and prophet mosque. The city has plenty of mosques including, Al-Masjid al-Qiblatain which is located in the Madinah Province of Saudi Arabia. The average weather during most months of the year is hot (around 80 degrees Farenheit). Places to visit while visiting Medina include, but are not limited to: Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (the Prophet’s Mosque), Masjid Quba’a Makkah, Mount Uhad and Jabal Uhud – among others.

To add to the already holy nature of this place, its beauty is unmatched. At the heart of Mecca lies The Prophet’s Mosque – one of Islam’s holiest sites and a majestic architectural marvel that has been recognised throughout time as such. It is where many believe God made his last messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him) reach out directly to people who were seeking truth.

The Arabic word for ‘city’ in most languages refers to Madinah which happens to also mean ‘the city’ in Arabic – taking after where one can find three of Islam’s oldest mosques located; Quba Mosque, Masjid al-Qiblatain and Masjid al-Nabawi (known commonly as Prophet’s mosque).

Places to visit in Al Madinah Province

    Mosque of Quba

Prophet Muhammad and his companions stopped in the tiny town of Quba for rest on their long journey from Makkah to Al Madinah. It was there they laid the foundation stone for what would become the world’s first mosque. And while this is not an original time-honored building, it still holds a spiritual connection to those who visit these grounds; bringing them closer to God and restoring calmness within themselves.

No matter where you go after leaving Medina’s limits – you can’t avoid being wrapped up by the hustle and bustle of modern-day life – but Quba always seems to remain untouched by society even now. The local markets sell dates, fragrance oils, spices; anything one could need when visiting this region or around Medina as a whole.

Mount Uhud has been a place of beauty for centuries. It is the site where Muslims fighting under the Prophet Muhammad battled those from Mecca. Located at a height of around 1,077 meters tall, they may have ventured higher up to see what was happening below them on the battlefield. Nearby there is a cemetery named after those who died in battle; it houses 85 Muslim pilgrims lost in this historic confrontation. Additionally, it is just northeast of downtown Medinah
