On Saturday, Marjaavaan experienced a jump in earnings of Rs. 1.64 crores. Its performance has been fairly consistent over the second weekend, though higher figures would have made for more promising news to everyone involved. Fortunately, its opening weekend exhibited favorable trends with Sunday hitting double digits which contributed to meeting its expectations.
So far, the movie has earned Rs. 40.60 crores and passed the earnings of both Judgementall Hai Kya [Rs. 38.30 crores] and Thackeray [Rs. 38 crores]. With Romeo Akbar Walter [Rs. 43 crores], it should also surpass this number in a couple of days; however, Article 15 is higher up on the list at Rs. 65.45 crores – making that too distant a target for the film to reach.|
The attention has now shifted to today’s footfalls. Going by current trends, it looks like a grossing of around Rs. 2 crores could be expected; any additional profits would surely be a bonus for Milap Zaveri’s film.
