After a successful start over the weekend, Mardaani 2 managed to stay afloat in its first week of release. On Monday it earned Rs.2.85 crores while on Friday it made Rs.3.80 crores which means it is maintaining its momentum from last week already!
This said, one expected an even better score this Monday considering how well Saturday and Sunday had done so far. If the collections had been greater than three crores, then that would’ve indicated a very strong first week. However right now, given the genre and subject of this film starring Rani Mukerji – it looks like she will enjoy a good first weekend but nothing more at this point in time.
The film has generated over Rs. 21 crores at the box office so far and its first week gross will now likely hover around the Rs. 28 crore mark. There’s something satisfying about reaching this landmark number of over 30 crores- though it may take some extra days to come close- but Mardaani 2 will look forward with hope in order to reach this goal.
