As expected, the film Made In China performed well on Monday with its box office collections reaching Rs. 2.50 crores due to post-Diwali celebrations driving audiences to watch the Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy starrer, nearly double that of Sunday’s earnings.
Thanks to ‘bhai dooj’ bringing a partial holiday, the collections of the Dinesh Vijan production will stay over Rs. 1 crore mark again today. While the figures remain subpar, it is the smart budgeting of the movie that could help to redeem its makers.
Not much longer must pass until Maddock Films begins to witness a positive change with the debut of Bala. Featuring Ayushmann Khurranna, preview screenings are set for Thursday 7th November and the full-fledged launch will be held on Friday 8th November. This film is likely to make an impressive start, thus providing some reprieve from the deficit generated by Made In China.
