Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha has failed to capitalize on the extra benefit of the Sunday holiday, collecting an approximate range of Rs. 9.85 to 10.65 crores. As a result, the movie’s four-day weekend total adds up to Rs. 38.75 crores. Unfortunately, the film only increased by around 15% in its collections on Sunday, which is not an ideal statistic.
After an absence of 4 years, Aamir Khan’s comeback to the big screen has been disastrous to say the least. The movie has received some acclaim in Multiplexes but faced total rejection in the mass belts. On its opening day, Laal Singh Chaddha will be at its peak, a result no one would have anticipated even in their wildest imaginations.
Laal Singh Chaddha will have a 5-day extended weekend of close to Rs. 50 crore and this would have been the worst case 3-day total. The Aamir Khan starrer is estimated to finish with a lifetime collection of less than Rs. 80 crore, leading to epic losses for all involved. We will provide further updates soon.
With Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan has experienced the least 4-day–earnings for a movie in the last decade.
