The Anupam Kher-starring Kashmir Films, after releasing a week ago is doing exceptionally well at the box office. Just today it crossed Rs. 200 crore – all within two weeks! In these eight days only it has already managed to cross Rs. 116 crore mark, and stands with an ambitious aim to rake up double this amount before it ends its 2-week run! And if that wasn’t enough for those eagerly waiting for good news, directors Anurag Kashyap’s Mukkabaaz and Raja Krishna Menon’s Vikram Vedha are also keeping in touch right behind along with Vivek Agnihotris The Kashmir Files which marks the latters maiden innings into such recognition!
Furthermore, after being released alongside Bachchan Paande (a Bollywood movie starring actor Akshay Kumar), The Kashmir Files remained popular amongst audiences and continued to attract viewers despite competing with Bachchan Paande. Given the current trends in the film industry, it is estimated that The Kashmir Files will surpass Rs 150 crores at the Box Office by the end of its second week in theatres.
