The Kashmir Files continues to do well at the box office with an increase from last week. Since the release of this film, the total revenue stands at Rs. 180 crores after just 11 days which is an enormous accomplishment for any movie! This number will only grow as time goes on and there are more people who come out to see this film. For example, even though there was some criticism about how ‘overly produced’ this movie may have been made – it has still done well across India.
Not only in metropolitan cities like Delhi or Mumbai but even in regional areas such as Maharashtra or Gujarat where cinemas thrive due to lack of supply while they continue to show The Kashmir Files without fail. All this data points towards just how many people love watching movies; and when we want something bad enough we work hard for it!
This season has been nothing short of spectacular, but what awaits us next week will certainly be amazing. On Tuesday or Wednesday the renowned director S.S. Rajamouli’s blockbuster film, RRR, will be released for mass consumption and it is projected to break all-time records for being the most lucrative Indian production ever made! It may not seem like much to some people because there are many other films coming out – but let me tell you that this movie is going to blow all expectations out of the water! There’s no telling how high it’ll climb up next weekend – one thing is certain though: This movie (and its success) isn’t leaving anytime soon.
