As of today, it seems like there is nothing that can stop the releasing of The Kashmir Files- a movie directed by Vivek Agnihotri. Released last week on Friday after opening up with a meager amount of Rs. 3.55 cr, the business has increased exponentially with every passing day.
On its first Thursday in theaters – The Kashmir Files raked in Rs. 18.05 cr without missing out on even one cent! When compared to other movies such as Ranbir Kapoor starring Sanju which earned Rs. 16.10 cr or Salman Khan starring Bajrangi Bhaijaan which earned Rs. 15. 55cr or Aamir Khan starring Dhoom3 which was able to rake in Rs: 1401cr- you can see just how much money this film is making already!
On the other hand, however, the business of The Kashmir Files does not manage to surpass certain other releases like PK that collected Rs. 27.55 cr, Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that collected Rs. 22.75 cr, and Dangal that collected Rs. 20.29 cr (Expected). As of now, The Kashmir Files still enjoys the audiences favour and is expected to see further growth in business with this holiday (Holi) looming ahead. In fact, with the Holi weekend festivities- more money can be made by selling tickets at a higher price -there will be an upward shift which will allow the film to pass its current amount- around 122 crores -and hit 130 crores before all is said and done.
