Jugjugg Jeeyo has got back on track during its second weekend with a strong showing of Rs. 3.02 crore on Friday. Reports estimate that it jumped by an estimated 65 to 70 percent on the second Saturday, with a collection of Rs. 4.90 to 5.25 crores. This takes its total nine–day collection to Rs. 61.80 crores, with Mumbai and Delhi leading the charge and being followed by cities like Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur.
Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani’s film is expected to see a considerable jump in the business on Sunday, and is projected to gross around Rs. 68 crores over its first 10 days. With the estimated lifetime collection of Rs. 80–85 crores, the movie will definitely be considered successful. The film has emerged as the fourth highest grossing movie of the year so far, surpassing the collections of Samrat Prithviraj and settling behind The Kashmir Files, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Gangubai Kathiawadi.
The second Saturday box–office jump of Jugjugg Jeeyo was far higher than the first week collections of almost all Bollywood films this year. The second weekend numbers of Jugjugg Jeeyo were likely to be as high, if not higher than those of the first weekends of films like Runway 34, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Anek, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Jersey, and more. Although it is only being appreciated by a limited section of viewers, they have come out to watch it once more in the second weekend, hinting at the possibility of the film continuing to perform well in the third weekend as well.
It could ultimately be regarded as a mid range success if the jump in business over the second weekend is sustained for a considerable period of time.
