Upon its initial release, JugJugg Jeeyo soared to the fifth position among the highest–grossing Bollywood openers of 2022. As it moves along the weekend, it stands a good chance to rival a couple of spots up the ranking list. If JugJugg Jeeyo could make it to the amount of revenue garnered by Bachchhan Paandey [Rs. 36.17 crores] by the end of Sunday, it will be fascinating to observe if it can eclipse Gangubai Kathiawadi [Rs. 39.12 crores] and Samrat Prithviraj [Rs. 39.40 crores], which have almost the same revenue in comparison.
As the star–studded movie featuring Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani and Neetu Kapoor witnessed a growth in collections on Sunday, it has caused various comparisons. From the initial Rs. 9.28 crores to Rs. 12.55 crores, it was a notable rise and the results were encouraging. Although had these numbers been achieved on the movie’s opening day, the makers and cast of the movie would have rejoiced in an even grander manner. Despite this, the increasing trend of the movie’s revenue gives optimism for it to possibly exceed the Rs. 15 crores mark on Sunday.
So far, the film has collected Rs. 21.83 crores which means Rs. 37-38 crores are on the cards by the time the weekend is through. However, if the momentum shoots up ever more then this Raj Mehta film has in it to speed up things at the box office and get even closer to Rs. 40 crores. Yes, it would be challenging for sure and that’s the reason why today’s collections would be most crucial for JugJugg Jeeyo as that would also set the tone for hold that it will manage at theatres from Monday onwards
