The Ranveer Singh-starring Jayeshbhai Jordaar was released last week, and despite all the hype it has failed to create a connection with audiences. The film brought in only Rs 3.25 cr on its opening day, followed by business remaining low for the rest of its first weekend, earning only Rs 12 cr thus far.
In this Box Office Report, we take a look at the Jayeshbhai Jordaar’s collections in its opening week. With 14.95 crores collected so far, it has become one of the ten highest grossers for 2022. It found little success with audiences who were more inclined to watch films that are popular among mainstream audiences such as in single screens or among theatres that play films that are predominantly seen by middle-class people; consequently, it failed to make decent money even after doing fairly well during its first seven days. Moving forward, with two new releases out this week – Bhool Bhulahiye 2 and Dhaakad – chances for Jayeshbhai Jordaar dwindle substantially.
Based on trade reviews, it seems unlikely for there to be any interest shown towards the film outside of random areas as movie goers have already flocked towards other films which have garnered high attention such as KGF-Chapter II and Bhudevrai.
