The Ranveer Singh-starring film Jayeshbhai Jordaar has recorded an unsuccessful Saturday at the box office. According to estimates, it only managed to collect between Rs. 3.95 and 4.15 crores for its third day out of an estimated 5 days run; totalling around 11.30 crore rupees in three days time with no signs of this trend changing anytime soon as fewer people come in on weekends than during weekdays (especially since many theaters had night showings canceled). It’s clear that this movie was rejected by audiences everywhere – we can’t even call these five days a successful opening weekend because there were so many things working against it which led us back to those two words: flat trend.
Jayeshbhai Jordaar is heading toward a lifetime total of Rs. 17 to 19 crores, or between $2 and $2.5 million US dollars. For Ranveer Singh it spells disaster – his second in a row after his latest Christmas release, 83′, which was disastrous at the box office as well. Unfortunately for him and his producers, the revenue from satellite rights and digital deals can’t salvage this production from being even worse than all other disasters before it like Jersey, Attack, Runway 34, Heropanti 2 – all of which still had higher revenue streams compared to his last movie Satyameva Jayate 2.
