Another list? But this time, we’re going to discuss the 60 most popular anime characters that people with INFJ personalities really connect with. Let’s begin:
Future Trunks – Dragon Ball Z
One of the most loved Dragon Ball Z characters. He came from an unfortunate and dark past but rather than adopt the personality traits of his father, Trunks is kind, gentle and considerate to others around him no matter what. That’s what makes Future Trunks so special.
Fujinuma Satou – Erased
Satoru Fujinuma is an observant person who has had trouble throughout his life and that’s why he deserves to be on this list. His analytic abilities make him one of the best characters out there, but what sets him apart from others are his desire for redemption and his unrelenting passion to change the past. Erased is excellent!
Yuki Sohma – Fruits Basket
Yuki is one of the main protagonists of Fruits Basket. Yuki has an empathetic personality, which can make him seem weak at times but it makes him a good friend and brother figure when you’re in need. He also has a tragic past that captures your attention because he perseveres through everything; he’s a great person to put all your trust in if you’re going through some tough times. When Tohru arrives into his life, she helps Yuki find himself again and they become close friends too – her presence becomes something much more special than just someone who lives next door.
Shouko Komi – Komi-san Can’t Communicate
Despite Komi’s difficulty to communicate, she has never let anything get in the way of her kindness. Always helping others out – even if they are people she doesn’t know- and always trying to make everyone laugh with her cute facial expressions, Komi will stop at nothing until she reaches 100 friends. It would be impossible not to fall in love with someone like this.
Itachi Uchiha – Naruto
Itachi was so adept at everything he did that he became one of the most well-known characters in Naruto. Can there be anything Itachi can’t do? He is a natural born genius who achieved even the impossible for an even better tomorrow. That’s why Itachi lives up to his name when it comes down to doing things which are best for everyone around him – no matter how difficult they might seem..
Vladilena Milize – 86
Lena is a very outgoing and intelligent girl who could make friends anywhere. Her sharp wits for finding solutions to problems has made her indispensable in tough situations, but it also makes her an excellent listener – which is what has given her the strength to make it onto this list.
Tachibana Kanade – Angel Beats
The quintessential ice queen, Kanade is the type of girl who doesn’t always speak her mind but there are times when she can’t stop thinking about all her pent up thoughts. She may not seem like anything at first – just another easy-to-ignore face in the crowd. But soon enough you’ll realize how amazing she truly is. From beneath those cold and stoic eyes lies a heart that knows no bounds; a will strong enough to move mountains if needed be.
Hiro – Darling in the Franxx
Hiro at first was a simple character, but there had always been something unique about him that set him apart from the others. He was much more compassionate, kinder, and aloof than most of the other pilots had seemed to be. His feelings were one of infatuation for her – this girl who had such an influence over his life that it almost felt miraculous when they finally met face-to-face. Ever since then, Hiro has been less reserved about how he feels about things and people around him – even going so far as to break boundaries just to get what he wanted or needed.
Kuroko Tetsuya – Kuroko’s Basketball
Kuroko is undoubtedly one of the best-loved characters in the series. It’s not just because he is the titular protagonist or for how much his personality stands out; but mostly, it has to do with how well-liked this character becomes amongst readers from all over. He is thoughtful, cheerful and endearing – a lot of people find themselves looking up to him as they continue reading through this manga series because they admire these qualities so much. Kuroko isn’t just some amazing person who everyone adores–he really does try his best at everything.
Grisha Yaeger – Attack on Titan
Grisha traveled to hell, endured it for a while, and then came back in order to accomplish his goal. One of the hardest-working men despite having no hope at fulfilling this dream, Grisha has never given up on himself which displays an inspiring characteristic; He knows about his shortcoming yet still works hard every day for months just trying to achieve what many would say was impossible. That’s the strength behind such madness.
Emilia – Re:Zero
Emilia is one of the most popular characters in Re:Zero, everybody knows her. Without her participation, it would not exist. It’s not just because shes so well-known or so popular – it’s that without her powers of summoning people to this world, they never would have met each other at all. Emelia was often very optimistic about every situation no matter what it may be which made others in the show admire and look up to her courage and determination when things got difficult for everyone else.
Takashi Mitsuya – Tokyo Revengers
Mitsuya has an air of intelligence about him which exudes from every inch of his body. Whether it be being skilled at sewing or giving out sound advice – he knows how to step up and do what needs to be done when others can’t. His passion is unmatched and unparalleled, making him a true model citizen. He values all of his friendships too much which makes him seem more vulnerable than he actually is – but don’t let this simple facade fool you!
A particular character I found worth mentioning from a recent popular anime called Wonder Egg Priorities is Momoe Sawaki, a 14 year old girl who has an androgyny look – making people mistake her for male. But she’s special because there are no other girls in the show that resembles her exactly. A standout part of this persona though are how eloquent and straightforward she can be when coming up with one-liners.
Yuta Okkotsu – Jujutsu Kaisen
One of the main characters from the latest movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0, who has garnered immense popularity due to his incredible strength. Despite this blessing, he remains down-to-earth and maintains a positive attitude which is why he has made it onto this list – no matter how strong someone may be, it never hurts to keep a humble disposition.
Sugawara Koushi – Haikyuu A good person will always have a smile. And so is Sugawara; his positivity was the force behind many events in this anime which made it an enjoyable experience to see him happy while others were downhearted. People may say he was naive at times but he was wise beyond his years. When faced with adversaries that are well above his level, he never backs down nor goes back for cover yet still maintains his winning streak against anyone who dares challenge him for whatever reason.
Gilbert Bougainvillea – Violet Evergarden
Gilbert is an admirable man, and one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Gilbert is essential to understanding Violet Evergadaern’s story because he helps her find meaning in life; furthermore, he supports her by showing her what it means to love others. He will always try his best, never letting anything bring him down. When you are with him, he can give off this comforting feeling – a sense of security that takes over when you’re together with someone who truly cares about you.
Soo Won – Yona of the Dawn
The man who singlehandedly took over the entire kingdom with just a stab is undoubtedly one of the major antagonists in this anime, isn’t he? Soo-won has a complex personality that changes rapidly depending on his needs. He can be both calculative and caring, at times – but he can also change instantly to being insulting or manipulative. But what nobody knows about him yet is how lonesome and depressed he really is inside.
Bishamon – Noragami
Bishamon is the most powerful goddess out of all those found in Noragami. She has an intimidating personality that no one wants to face, but her warm side makes up for it. Behind her rough exterior she hides pain- deep scars from years ago. When life goes well for her she often resorts back to old habits because it felt normal for her before. After so many years living like this Bishamon became a perfectionist who fears being imperfect and becoming vulnerable again.
Kiritsugu Emiya – Fate Kiritsugu is the lead protagonist in FSN and one of the most fascinating anime characters ever created. His conflicted personality roams throughout him, wishing to save this world but knowing he can’t do it alone. He sacrifices much for what he believes in, even if it means going through intense pain just so others don’t have to feel anything at all. To participate in the Holy Grail War, Kiritsugu distances himself from everything that matters – except his goal to change humanity’s destiny and shape its future course.
N – Pokemon
N is certainly one of the most captivating characters in Pokemon. Yes, he captivates people – but his personality also has its flaws which sometimes lead to him getting into trouble. N is an extremely formidable trainer who typically doesn’t experience any obstacles when challenging multiple opponents at once. Clever and unbound by what others think about him, N has taken it upon himself to undergo such rigorous training that it would have been a sin for someone as incredible as him to go unmentioned on this list because there are just so many things they could do.
Kaname Shigeyoshi – Ahiru no Sora
As an INFJ, Kaname values his privacy and rarely shares what’s on his mind with others. He sometimes replies sarcastically to people who taunt him but Kaname has been known for being both sharp and bright, which makes it easy for him to find loopholes in arguments or make up witty comebacks against them. There might not be many people taller than 200 cm around here, but Kaname is still considerably weaker- so he relies heavily on using his intelligence rather than strength to get the upper hand during any given encounter.
Tsukumo – Karneval
As if from nowhere, Tsukumo appears – her eyes shining brightly and a smile on her face. Despite the sadness that shrouds Tsukumo with every move she makes, she radiates more kindness than anyone I know. When someone approaches me for comfort or just wants to talk about how they are feeling, sometimes you’ll find that it’s Tsukumo who is holding them tightly in their arms; but no matter what happens next, we all come out of it alive– stronger than before.
Chise Hatori – The Ancient Magus’ Bride
Chise is a girl with no memories of happiness and goodwill from her childhood. Her mother tried to kill her, after his father had abandoned them for another woman. After her mother killed herself, Chise planned on doing the same. But all this eventually changed when she met Elias Ainsworth who offered hope and new beginnings to her again; now at age 18, all these years have taken their toll on Chise – but she still has a pure heart and deep sensitivity inside of herself that shines through everything else- something only those close enough can see.
Kenshin Himura – Rurouni Kenshin
Despite being born as a cold-blooded killer, Kenshin is a person who likes to help others. He was an extremely composed man with the heart of someone selfless. Although his dark history always followed him around and he knew it, that’s why he didn’t want to kill again – for he feared experiencing his dark days all over again, wanted to start anew in life instead.
Jeanne d’Arc – Fate/Apocrypha
Despite being so young, she is more mature than one might expect. She doesn’t regret anything about her past and has no aspirations for what will come next – because all she ever wanted as a little girl was to see the sea. Her strong faith in everything, especially herself, allows her to put others before herself while never faltering from doing something that brings her joy.
Haku – Spirited Away
Haku has an adaptable personality that matches the current situation. He also exhibits determination to take care of Chihiro when no one else would because he wants to do it – not just because someone tells him to. That’s a trait commonly found in people with an INFJ personality type, but what makes Haku special is his patience and grace despite being faced with adversity. In other words, we see who he really is when the chips are down: a hero and an extraordinary man.
Gyomei Himejima – Demon Slayer
One thing about Hashi-chan was that no matter what kind of situation he found himself in, he could always just fight his way out. He had saved more lives than anyone could even comprehend, and was also extremely intelligent – it’s hard to believe that a guy who cries all the time can make such bold decisions during battle. But then again… This is Gyomei-kun we’re talking about here!
Nagito Komaeda – Danganronpa
Danganronpa is a popular anime show, but it depends on your perspective of Nagito Komaeda. Why is this? Well, since most other characters are emotional-driven, Nagito Komaeda – who is sharp and calculated- sees things clearer than anyone else does. His goal in life is to never make the worst possible decision which keeps him from taking action. When combined with his charismatic personality, this makes him an all-time favorite for many fans.
Kaworu Nagisa – Neon Genesis Evangelion
Kaworu is undeniably one of the most popular characters in Neon Genesis Evangelion. His manipulative personality, his relationship with Shinji, and his alluring appearance are just a few examples for this popularity. Nagisa is also highly regarded – mainly for making the plot of Neon Genesis Evangelion even more compelling. As far as the size goes? Our protagonist here dwarfs other anime.
Norman – The Promised Neverland
Norman is an extraordinary kid with intelligence that rivals most grown adults. He always stays positive no matter what, even when he knows his life will end. When other kids would be crying or having panic attacks after being devoured by monsters – not Norman. Though he doesn’t show it much, Norman has incredible talent and intellect that make him perfect for anything under the sun; a prodigy in every sense of the word.
Yoriichi Tsugikuni – Demon Slayer
This character has never made an appearance in the anime before but it will be undeniably amazing when he does for he is one of the strongest persons to have ever existed. He is also the creator of a new style of kung-fu called Breathing Style. If this isn’t enough, Demon Slayer claims that there are no stronger fighters than him. He may not come off as so at first glance due to his modesty and gentle demeanor, but his skills make up for it tenfold.
Mitsuki – Boruto
Mitsuki is a mysteriously peculiar character who has yet to be fully explored in the series so far. But what we do know about him are his noble qualities that many aspire to have; despite having been turned into a ghastly mutation he retains his kindness and geniality.
Hotaru Tomoe – Sailor Moon
Hotaru is recognized for having an outgoing and compassionate personality which is what makes her so popular among Sailor Scouts. Sailor Saturn is also well-known for being generous and selfless to those around him. If you’re a fan of Sailor Moon, then it’s time to start watching because Hotaru has been an excellent INFJ example of what this type looks like ever since her debut; from the moment she was first introduced in manga form, you’ll know that you can’t help but love everything about her.
Kaoru Hitachiin – Ouran High School Host Club
He is one of the Hitachiin twins and one of the most prominent characters in Ouran High School Host Club. Kaoru is someone who radiates kindness and he understands humility far better than any other character seen in this anime- which makes him all the more lovable. A true gentleman when it comes to how he treats those around him, this character has a charisma that few people possess – something which makes him unique from his twin brother Hikaru.
Konan – Naruto
Konan is undoubtedly one of the less prominent members of Akatsuki, yet this does not make her a weak character. In fact, Konan represents an exemplary figure for women everywhere – as she displays strength when needed and gentleness when appropriate. You cannot help but enjoy every minute she is on-screen; so much so that you may find yourself treasuring these brief moments while they last.
Ai Hayasaka – Kaguya-sama: Love is War
She is similar to Komi-san because she can amuse you without uttering a single word. However, this time, it was different. Her poker face was gone and instead of muttering something under her breath – Hayasaka started talking. This maid has all the qualities needed for her profession which include being able to be a silent troll when necessary along with Chika making them two out of four possible individuals favored by fans in the show.
Mikaela Hyakuya – Seraph of the End
Mikaela is widely respected in the show, Seraph of the End, because he creates the entertainment factor in it. He is placed on our list because he seems to be one of the most kindhearted people while still being pragmatic enough to think about his own safety; probably one of the most realistic characters there too. His attitude towards life makes him an idealist since he wished that both humans and vampires could live together peacefully.
Johan Liebert – Monster
Johan, who is regarded by many as the greatest anime protagonist ever seen, is also one of the most complicated and sinister characters in all of animation. A conniving manipulator with a mental prowess only matched by his genius (and some might say unmatched), Johan can crawl into people’s minds to destroy them from within or use their willpower against them to bend them to his will. Granted, he is not without flaws; far from it actually- but those imperfections are exactly what make him so hauntingly beautiful.
Nagisa Shiota – Assassination Classroom
Nagista is the perfect protagonist for an anime like Assassination Classroom. He can entertain an entire audience easily with just being himself; his innocent yet mature persona makes people laugh and cry on his behalf- all because of how much this character has to offer in terms of both kindness and ruthlessness. Yep, even a child-faced guy can be an assassin in the anime world – as long as they posses certain qualities.
Yut-Lung Lee – Banana Fish
Fish is the only yaoi anime I’ve ever watched and I don’t regret it one bit. Lee is an unforgettable yet sometimes forgettable character- He’s really fascinating to watch when you pay close attention to all the minor details about him. He’s a highly calm individual who has ties to the underworld business, but even if he doesn’t always do what we want him to do as an audience member, he still gives us some of the best experiences this show could offer.
Prince Ashitaka – Princess Mononoke
This prince is a skilled warrior from long ago who fell victim to a powerful curse. His only hope for redemption lies within a legendary mystical creature… But when he goes out to find her, she doesn’t seem interested in helping him! Caught between two armies fighting each other – one his own people, the other his sworn enemy – it seems like this poor soul has lost everything. Fortunately for him, there’s still Princess Mononoke!
Rei Batsubami – Kakegurui
We met Rei for the first time as a male character, but then she quickly reveals herself to be one of the main antagonists of Kakegurui – and defeating some of its key characters without even breaking a sweat. Reaching perfection in everything she does, Reiji continues to intrigue fans even after the end credits roll; it’s no wonder why she became one of the most popular characters in the series!
Naomi Misora – Death Note
I didn’t watch Death Note after Kira bested the protagonist, because it just felt wrong to cheer for him when he won. Naomi was amazing; she was the only one who had managed to come close to defeating Kira – even L acknowledged this. Her wit shone through as both brilliant and shrewd; she deserved so much more than what happened in a positive way.
Yuno Gasai – Future Diary
Yuno Aragaki, the protagonist in 11 episodes of Future Diary, has been credited with revolutionizing the concept of a yandere. Although her personality can vary depending on what it takes to keep Yuki happy (most notably when he is stressed), there is one thing Yuno always does: protect him from harm. Her devotion sets her apart from other yanderes and even makes them seem less psychotic because hers stems from genuine love rather than just murderous compulsion.
Chrollo Lucilfer – Hunter x Hunter
Lucilfer has many layers to him and is like a Rubik’s Cube- though easy to solve from the outside, much deeper mysteries lie within. One thing that cannot be ignored about Lucilfer is how great of an impact he had on Hunter X Hunter- which can’t be said for all Hunters there. His multifaceted charisma makes people flock towards him because they want to know what this strange yet intriguing person will do next. Even more so than anyone else in the show- including Kite- Lucilfer has shown what it means to care for others (even if they aren’t human) without restraint or reservation.
Shinya Hiiragi – Seraph of the End
Shinya comes from the prestigious Hiiragi family, and although you might not know what that means if you’re unfamiliar with Seraph of the End, this matters because they were kings who ruled over all.
Ririka Momobami – Kakegurui
The world, and despite being one of those people Shinya is never an unforgiving soldier. On the contrary, he’s an incredibly laid back guy who stays loyal to his friends no matter what happens and rarely becomes angry.
Ririka Momobami – Kakegurui
More than just an INFJ, Ririka is also the shyer side of her outgoing sister. While Kirari can speak up for herself without any hesitation or worry about what others think, Ririka prefers not to say anything at all and remains unknown. But even though she doesn’t talk a lot, she is always planning things and thinking ahead – but that isn’t known to anyone else. She likes to wear masks so people won’t notice how shy she really is!
Yoichi Isagi – Blue Lock
A man who is on the path to perfection; no one can deny that this makes him a marvelous person. He has an unfair way of treating his opponents but, at times, he will show some form of pity for them- which only adds to his overall personality. He may seem powerful or weak depending on how you see him, but one thing about Isagi is for sure- he knows how to make people smile without lifting a finger.
Tamayo – Demon Slayer
Despite having little screen time, Tamayo became a fan favorite and everybody longs to see her again. Don’t worry about it, you’ll definitely see her again soon. Her kind and gentle demeanor is what makes her such a popular character– no doubt helped by those pupilless eyes of hers. I’m not going to spoil things for you just yet, but you will learn more about how Tamayo does in the near future.
Sakunosuke Oda – Bungou Stray Dogs
Sakunosuke is based on a Japanese writer with the same name, better known as Odasaku. There are many things about Sakuno-san which will make you want to know more about him – he’s kind, low-profile yet full of potential for greatness; complexities that only deepen after seeing the movie.
Merry – Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash
Merry is an inept INFJ priest. She doubts herself because she doesn’t think her abilities are strong enough – just like many other people out there who don’t share the same beliefs she does. But this too, is okay – feeling afraid and worried about what will happen next isn’t anything new. Regardless of this, Merry has a bit of a bad reputation for her poor past behaviour, even though now as Haruhiro’s party member (as well as being incredibly loyal), she takes responsibility seriously and does what needs to be done without question or regret.
Ikki Kurogane – Chilvary of a Failed Knight
Ikki is an individual who disregards what others think of him. That’s how he overcame his difficult childhood. Despite all the tragedies, Ikki is a good-natured man capable of being very dangerous if something terrible happens around him – and yet, despite not knowing how to interact with women well at all, he has had many relationships throughout his life. In Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Van Hohenheim is one of the most enigmatic characters in the series; yet despite this, he is still portrayed as a kindly person (despite leaving his family behind). He appears as a wandering sage, using whatever means possible to protect humanity from disasters because it would not surprise anyone for him to sacrifice himself to take down Father.
Mayuri Shiina – Steins;Gate
Steins;Gate is my all-time favourite anime, and there’s no way I could leave out one of the most important characters from it. Mayuri’s carefree personality is too cute for words, but when she really puts her mind to something and needs to keep things running smoothly within the group – or even at times when conflict arises – then you see her true analytical skills come out of hiding.
Youko Nakajima – The Twelve Kingdoms
From a humble and timid girl who always feared what others thought of her red hair color to an indomitable woman who served those around her selflessly – Youko was someone that never cared what people thought or said about her. She didn’t want anyone’s attention or pity, but instead put it all towards the kingdom without ever asking for anything in return – which made her infinitely more admirable.
Izuku Midoriya – My Hero Academia
Izuku always dreamt of being a superhero since he was a child but wasn’t able to be one due to not having superpowers. It broke him at first because all his life he had dreamed about being powerful enough to save people and make them happy. However, after gaining the power of One-For-All Izuku focused on mastering it in order to become the hero he always dreamed of being as a little kid. He’s also very kindhearted and smart, which are qualities we associate with heroes so that makes Izuku even more special than other heroes who were gifted their powers from birth.
Kurama – Yu Yu Hakusho
Kurama is the most intelligent and scheming person in the group. He has no qualms or boundaries which makes him so intriguing to everyone around him. As Yoko Kurma, he takes pleasure in causing others pain and tends to be less merciful than he would as Hiei’s counterpart; although it doesn’t stop from being one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet due to his upbringing.
Momo Yaoyorozu – My Hero Academia
Most INFJ characters are attached to the idea of justice – which is often their sole motivation. Momo Yaoyorozu is a genius who wishes to become a hero so she may follow in the footsteps of someone who has upheld justice all their life. She would do anything for her friends, even at the expense of herself, and they view her as an older sister figure.
Urara Shiraishi – Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches
used to be an icy girl who was hurt and bullied for being different. But when she meets Yamada, she starts to come out of her shell, smiling for him more easily than ever before and opening up more about herself than with anyone else. She is also extremely smart, often helping Yamada out with difficult math problems he can’t solve on his own.
Sozuke Aizen – Bleach
Making Aizen the last entry on this list, was one of his plans from the start. Considered by many to be one of the most influential villains in anime history; Aizen is a quiet, polite individual who may come off as friendly at first glance, but he definitely has an agenda. He’ll use anything and everyone if it will further him closer to achieving his goal.
INFJ Anime Characters Conclusion
