Vape juice bottles aren’t easy to open, and that’s an intentional design choice. It’s important to ensure that a child can’t get into the bottle, so vape juice bottles almost always have child-resistant caps – and if you want to remove the nozzle from a bottle of e-liquid, that’s even harder. When you think about it, though, that makes perfect sense. You dispense e-liquid into a vape tank by placing the bottle’s nozzle inside the tank and squeezing the bottle firmly. In some cases, people might simply want information about how the bottle’s child-resistant mechanism works. Some bottles are more difficult to open than others, and we’ll discuss that at greater length shortly.
It’s possible, though, that you’re actually here because you want to know how to remove the nozzle from a bottle of vape juice – and that’s a different matter entirely. Why would you want to remove the nozzle? There are two common reasons why people look for this information.

Virtually all vape juice bottles have child-resistant caps. In addition to that, an e-liquid bottle will often have a safety seal to prevent tampering. Your goal is to open the child-resistant cap while simultaneously breaking the seal. Push the bottle’s lid straight down. While doing that, turn the lid counterclockwise. - If this is a bottle of e-liquid that you’ve already opened and used, it’s possible that e-liquid has gotten inside the lid and made the child-resistant mechanism slippery. As we mentioned at the beginning of this article, an e-liquid bottle’s nozzle often fits extremely tightly to ensure that the nozzle won’t pop off when you refill your device. To get the nozzle off, you might need a tool.
Your goal is to get under the seam at the bottom of the nozzle and pry the seam away from the bottle while lifting the nozzle up. With some e-liquid bottles, you can do this by sliding your fingernail under the seam lifting the nozzle away from the bottle. In many cases, though, you’ll find that your fingernail isn’t quite strong enough. With a stubborn nozzle, you’ll have an easier time getting the bottle open if you use a butterknife. Your strategy here should be the same – slide the knife’s tip under the nozzle’s seam and pry the nozzle up.
