I was young and eager to work while I was in my student life. But I was not always lucky enough to have the internet back in the day, but when I see the world today I ask myself what if I had been connected to the World Wide Web while I was studying well I had made some money through Freelance work. Mind you I would not need any skill, only how to write and type like this article, and I would have made enough to go out with friends or pay for my tuition.
Often students ask me this question? What would be the one thing they can make some money from? Well here is the list of things you can do to make money from using Freelance skills then hey this article is just for you. In this article, I will show how students can earn money online as a freelancer.
- Writing and Content Creation:
Freelance writers, copywriters, and content creators are sought after for various projects, such as blog posts, articles, social media content, marketing materials, and website copy. Strong writing skills and subject matter expertise are essential in this category. They are in high demand and we have around 30 to 40 requests for Beginner level writers on a daily where clients need writers for their projects and mind you if you can somehow convince them that you can write on your cover letter then this will give you ultimate success. I mean being a student you know how to write and this will not only allow you to polish your language skills along with experience, but you will also enjoy it as it won’t just be homework but work that pays you! Now typing jobs can you from $5 to something around $100 a day, which is huge but we will stick to 5$ a day which equates to 150$ a month! This is not bad for a beginner-level writer with a few days’ experience. Imagine throughout your Degree program you’re making money by writing for people gaining experience as you go, and the more experience you gain the more you will make and the more in demand you will become. So this is something I would call a lucky charm for many young people who want to start making money from home. Or even while in University during free time.
- Virtual Assistance:
Many entrepreneurs and busy professionals seek virtual assistants to handle administrative tasks, email management, scheduling, data entry, customer support, and more. Strong organizational and communication skills are key in this category. Now this is something you would need a little experience with. I mean you should know how to use your computer where you need to have skills in either Google Suite or Office Suite. You would also require the skill to schedule meetings and learn how to give online meetings, and Oh yes! You will need the most important skill… Communication! With effective communication, you can be a successful Virtual Assistant for your team. Being a virtual Assistant isn’t difficult but it isn’t easy either. I mean even though the new generation kids that I have met are well versed in the required skills but then again it is a demanding job. Now as far as the pay is concerned, Virtual Assistants are paid 5$ per hour minimum and on average Virtual Assistants can make up to 300$ to 400$ a month. That is some good pocket money I would say!
- Graphic Design:
Businesses and individuals frequently require freelance graphic designers for tasks like logo design, branding, marketing collateral, social media graphics, and illustrations. Proficiency in graphic design software and a strong portfolio are crucial for success. Now as far as the freelance community is concerned, Graphic Designers are in high demand! People need Graphic designers to design different elements for either their businesses such as logos, brochures, social media posts, or even things like YouTube thumbnails etc. I have seen Beginner level Graphic designers making a minimum of $25 a day and sometimes Graphic designers can make a whopping 5000$ a month as well (No joke). But this skill requires some learning as well, you can go to YouTube and learn Graphic Designing via free videos uploaded by various designers! But then again, this is something hard but with a creative mind and a new set of Design skills, I believe you can start making money very soon.
I have given you the list of 3 skills that will help you make money as a student and numbered them according to difficulty. Hey, all these skills demand persistence and learning as well, you need to struggle in every field or rather every aspect of life to excel and succeed. I would go as far as to say that join Freelance websites and try your luck in one of these skills, remember to keep going! If you have any question you can contact me on social media @ iamahsan116.
