After collecting approximately Rs. 6.50 crores on the opening day, Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti 2 has seen a drop of about 15 to 25 percent on its second day. Although it collected in the range of Rs. 5-5.5 crores at the end of Day Two (which is still impressive), there was still some friction across all sections of people who went out to see this film; namely due to release date changes and over-saturation among other factors.
Nevertheless, around 65% were primarily accumulated from ‘National Chains’ such as PVR, INOX, Cinepolis and so forth because despite having been released earlier than anticipated after changing release dates twice already and being almost released on 10 different days prior – Day Two profits still managed to hover around 40%.
The early dip in collections on the second day of release could very well foreshadow a stagnant performance on Sunday, when people are most likely to go to theaters. Collectively speaking, this means that earnings over the next few days will range between Rs. 16.75-17.25 crore – but we won’t know for sure until Monday rolls around. What makes things difficult for Heropanti is that there’s an Eid holiday coming up starting tomorrow – as well as Basi (or Little) Eid on Wednesday; two days where people may be less inclined to go out for entertainment. It’ll need strong numbers over this four-day period in order to top other movies – and although it has good odds against KGF2 because of all the positive reviews, it’ll still face stiff competition from both new and old releases when the dust settles (so long as they’re screened in enough theaters).
