The Hindi comedy film, Good Newz, has been doing very well in the box office since it released over ten days ago. While most of these were either holidays or special occasions time off from work for many people; Monday was an ordinary weekday where people usually go out to find some entertainment. The numbers show that even though there were fewer people at theaters this time around because those who could make it did so on a holiday; it still pulled in Rs. 5.4 crore– which is quite good considering how much is made during weekdays when nobody has vacation off work!
With tickets now going back up to their normal price and audiences coming through as they always do, Tuesday earned more than Â¥8 crore while Sunday’s total revenue came out at Â¥7 crore making this an encouraging statistic! If these numbers continue throughout the next few weeks, then there will be nothing stopping this movie from being successful!
As of now, the Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani starrer has reached Rs. 167.50 crores in just 11 days, hence indicating an average score of over Rs. 15 crores per day ever since release. And if we take into account weekends? It’ll be even more than what you think! As soon as it enters the Rs. 200 Crore Club (and it will!), Good Newz will finally collect its well-deserved dividends.
