Dubya, a large desert city, continues to pursue its goal of becoming an art hub. This effort has been met with success, as the growth in many cultural institutions and galleries can attest. Dubya also offers those who visit something new each time they come through – from adrenaline-inducing activities such as sliding between glass skyscrapers or jumping into the world’s largest diving pool for that much needed thrill. What makes Dubya truly unique though is how there is something for everyone here; whether it be traditional museums or other attractions favored by locals – there’s never a shortage of things for tourists to explore when coming through. Here are some of our favorites.
See the Future Look of Dubai at Museum of Future
The Museum of the Future is a place where you can see and feel what the future might be like. Visitors can explore immersive future habitats that will stimulate their senses and expand their thoughts. Everyone who goes through our doors should be inspired to become involved and active participants in shaping a better future. The Museum of the Future mixes exhibition, immersive theater, and themed attraction features to invite people to think beyond now – exploring possibilities that haven’t happened yet but could happen one day at anytime soon. Tickets are priced between US$90-US$110 per person depending on age group when purchased online or at-gate; children under 3 years old may enter for free admission.
Take a Helicopter Tour to get a bird’s eye view of Dubai
An exhilarating helicopter ride over Dubai’s vibrant and picturesque landscape, soaring past some of the city’s most prominent landmarks to create life-long memories. The Burj Khalifa stands tall before you in all its breathtaking glory, as does the lush Palm Jumeirah; each creating a mesmerizing scene for your eyes alone. And when you throw in your friends or family members – now we’re talking about an experience like no other! It doesn’t get much better than flying high above skyscrapers and palm trees while enjoying crystal clear views – so don’t wait any longer to make your decision!
Shop till you Drop at Dubai Mall
The Dubai Mall, located in the heart of Downtown Dubai, is one of the world’s most popular retail and lifestyle destinations. It features over 1,200 business from around the globe, including two anchor department stores- Galeries Lafayette and Bloomingdale’s; as well as a variety of entertainment and leisure attractions for families.
Experience Indoor Skydiving at iFly Dubai
In City Center Mirdif, I found my new favorite place to play – iFly Dubai. This is the first indoor skydiving center which provides a safe and thrilling experience even if you are deathly afraid of heights. After being fitted with gear that mimics what a pro-skydiver would wear, you and your instructor go inside a 10 meter tall enclosed wind tunnel where there’s no fear of falling out or hitting the ground hard. And this is where the fun starts! Using various maneuvers such as spinning or flipping upside down against an instructor’s suggestion (depending on your comfort levels) – all it takes is one step off this platform and down you’ll go 3 meters towards paradise…
IMG Worlds of Adventure
The IMG Worlds of Adventure is a vast and enormous amusement park built around four popular themes – Marvel Comics, Cartoon Network, Lost Valley Dinosaur Adventure and IMG Boulevard. There are plenty of different rides and attractions all themed appropriately for their respective areas that will give visitors a thrilling experience from start to finish. What awaits them at the end? A 1.5 million square foot facility full of otherworldly experiences, that’s what! And when they’re done exploring all this new found joy inside – don’t forget about all the fun outdoors waiting for them just outside too – it’s time to think about where you’ll dine next (there are three restaurants) or whether it’s time to go home yet (leave behind a gift shop).
Take a Dive in Wild Wadi Waterpark
Wild Wadi is one of the most beautiful waterparks in the world, situated as it overlooks the Burj Al Arab. The park offers thirty different water attractions, including an astounding height of 32 meters – Jumeirah Sceirah Slide. This impressive feat can also be found in a multitude of other thrilling rides like the fake surf ride called ‘Wipeout’ and another known as ‘Riptide’. These are just some of what you’ll find here at this spectacular place for those looking for aquatic adventures with no limits to their imagination (and body). It can be hard to forget about safety when venturing through such thrillingly adventurous waters, but don’t worry! You’ll come across mascots representing Juha from Arabian folktales throughout Wild Wadi, reminding you that safety always comes first.
Pay a Visit to Global Village
Dubai’s Global Village is an enormous theme park made for people of all age ranges. The village features international concerts and attractions tailored towards families, so it’s especially popular during those times. Open from October to April annually, it offers a variety of fun rides, food stands and activities which will satisfy everyone visiting its gates. However, if you intend on visiting the rest of Dubai within a single day – don’t bother making this stop because it’s located outside of the city center anyways; you’re best off spending your time elsewhere in the long run!
Witness the Dubai Skylines from Sky Views Dubai
Sky Views provides a wide array of thrilling activities for those who want to see Dubai from an entirely new perspective. Anyone who opts for one of these experiences will be met with excitement, exhilaration and awe as they plunge off the edge of the platform onto a bed of soft grass below or take on the Edge Walk where you’ll find yourself walking across nothing but air between two skyscrapers that are each over 500 feet tall. If you’re looking for things to do in Dubai don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience!
