Falguni and Shane Peacock’s designer collection for the 2022 India Couture Week showcased designs inspired by Jaipur’s famous Amer fort, full of distinctive Mughal artistry.
They showcased a variety of bridal gowns, including both women’s and men’s wear, featuring deep hues such as Spanish vanilla, lavender haze, pewter, smoke green, ballet pink, scallop shell. Prism silver, Tuscan gold and midnight glowing blue. The different silhouettes created an aesthetic that was all too easy to fall in love with while the lehengas were contrasted by red carpet-worthy gowns – the trailing hemline cascading smoothly down below my feet.
Actress Sara Ali Khan made an appearance on the runway to present the Falguni and Shane Peacock Collection at this year’s Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) couture week. She was all grace, elegance and subtlety when she strutted her stuff for these veteran designers who showcased their Bonjour Amer line at this year’s annual event.
