Monday’s earnings of Rs. 3.02 crores for Ek Villain Returns were certainly satisfactory, however the decline from Friday’s Rs. 7.05 crores was greater than 40%, meaning that from this point forward until Thursday, there can be no further decline. Had the collections stayed close to Rs. 4 crores, there would have been room for the usual 10% decrease per day, allowing for an impressive overall total during its first week. Now, it must maintain its current level of revenue all the way through.

Had Monday been above Rs. 4 crores, then this could have resulted in additional revenue of nearly Rs. 5 crores in the following week, due to lack of competitors. With a total of Rs. 26.56 crores after four days, it remains to be seen how far this movie will go.
