Ek Villain Returns is on track on its second day, collecting approximately Rs. 7.20 – 7.60 crores – a rise of 7 – 10% from Friday. The Mohit Suri movie has, so far, earned a two–day total of Rs. 14.60 crores. John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria are seen playing the main characters in this thrilling feature film.
The film did not witness any major growth in mass belts; however, multiplexes showed an increase of 7%, which has helped to make an overall increase in business. This result was to be expected given that it was a mass film; yet, a constant Saturday meant that Sunday growth was pivotal. It is forecasted that Ek Villain Returns will climb up by 15% on Sunday, which should drive the opening weekend’s total up to Rs. 24 crores.
The commercial performance of Ek Villain Returns over the weekend is set to be impactful, as the fate of the film on Monday will be of decisive importance. An upside of Rs. 3.25 crores on Monday will be deemed satisfactory and place the movie on the trajectory to attain Rs. 50 crores over its lifetime. The weekend revenue of Ek Villain Returns is projected to surpass the lifetime returns of films with bigger casts such as Jersey, Runway 34, Heropanti 2, and Jayeshbhai Jordaar.
