The Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam released 27 days ago at the China box office. After a slow start, the business of the film in China increased but was still unimpressive compared to other Bollywood films that have been successful there.
Now on Day 27, Drishyam has managed to earn an additional $80,000 [₹ 61.89 Lakhs] more than what it has already made at the China Box Office – a total of $4.18 million [₹ 32.30 Crores]. Considering how this film was going against all odds for most parts, with some markets being locked down due to Covid-19 outbreaks (a prevalent viral infection), this achievement couldn’t have been possible without reaching out to each individual fan.
Going forward, the business of the film at the Chinese box office is not expected to grow very fast. Predictions from industry insiders state that collections for Drishyam will continue coming in slowly over time without seeing a significant increase anytime soon.
