Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was unstoppable at the box office. The Anees Bazmee directed film had earned Rs. 9.25 – 10 crores on Tuesday to take its 5-day total earnings to Rs. 75 crores; a negligible drop in revenue of 10% from Monday but still with outstanding numbers when it comes to holding power over less experienced competitors. In addition, the cutesy yet terrifying horror comedy is estimated for an opening week earning target exceeding Rs. 90 crores because there’s no sign of stopping now for this theatrical wonder!
The Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu film is performing the best in Mumbai and Gujarat, followed by Chennai City, Rajasthan and Bihar. The collections come because of the support from families with young children and this trend has also helped increase the totals for its second weekend. In fact, there is a high chance that it will show strong hold over Week 3 & 4 as well due to positive reviews from critics who enjoyed it according to one review. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will reach 100 crores this week (Friday or Saturday) but if it performs well enough during Week 1 & 2 then eventually could reach 150 crores too – which would make it an overall success financially speaking when taking into account T Series’ role as producer along with Murad Khaterani’s contribution.
