The recently released film Sooryavanshi has been doing well at the box office. After opening on a good note the business of the film continued to grow with each passing day. Starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, the film which has been one of the most keenly anticipated releases of recent times, has now managed to cross over Rs. 100 crores at the box office. CollectingRs. 102.81 crores, Sooryavanshi became only the second movie ever this year to reach over Rs 100 crore mark at theaters.

Surprisingly, despite being her eight movie to ever cross the Rs. 100 Cr mark- making it quite an accomplishment – Sooryavanshi has only been able to break even so far due to lack of funding from investors in comparison with her previous projects that have made over Rs. 200 Cr (Tiger Zinda Hai). Still though, there are high hopes for the film based on its performance thus far which may lead it up towards achieving Rs. 150 Cr profit before one week concludes domestically if current trends continue through all 17 days of release.
