Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai starring Salman Khan premiered on May 13th, 2021. It opened during the Islamic holiday of Eid but due to Covid-19, it largely stayed within India because those looking for an escape would rather use their cash towards other avenues than purchase the film. Despite its hybrid release, most ticket buyers were from India who watched it through a Pay Per View platform – which was why some theaters didn’t bother hosting screenings of the movie.
In order to make this available internationally though, a limited run did take place in three theaters – just one being located in Tripura. In other states where audiences could enjoy an actually theater experience though (read: in Maharashtra), Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai didn’t last long either thanks to its short two-week total runtime and barely reaching over Rs. 100k worth gross revenue from various theaters across towns before all nationwide screenings came crashing down once again due to financial constraints).
Interestingly, Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai has been well received. As it was reported by Bollywood Hungama a couple days ago, last Friday, 22 tickets were sold in these two shows while 25 tickets were sold on Saturday. The theatre yesterday saw sales of 55 tickets which is the highest number ever recorded for Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai at Khinvasara Cineplex. Surprisingly, ticket sales are actually encouraging on the weekdays too! On Monday only 15 tickets were sold; however that’s because there was just one show played. Ticket sales went up to 35 on Tuesday and 22 tickets were sold on Wednesday while 26 people attended the latest showing of Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai on Thursday.
A trade expert told Bollywood Hungama, Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai collected Rs. 1,653 on Monday; Rs. 3,856 on Tuesday; Rs. 2,424 on Wednesday and Rs. 2,864 on Thursday. What came as a pleasant surprise were the collections of Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai at the Khinvasara Cineplex from June 11th to June 17th with total earnings being about Rs. 21,259 during those five days.
However, he added that in comparison to this week’s earnings from 18th of June till 24th of June when it accumulated total collections worth about Rs. 21,813the third week had seen higher ticket sales than its predecessor. Industry insiders say this is because while many people may’ve tweeted bad reviews or down-rated the movie online–Salman Khan’s star power helped draw people who love his work back into cinemas.
The three-week collection of Radhe – Your Most Started Brother currently totals to Rs. 1,15,204 and is still being played at Khinvasara Cineplex where it will show on Saturdays (at 3:00 pm) and Sundays (at 6:15 pm). Sadly, the film’s run will come to an end on Monday, June 28 as Maharashtra has decided to impose restrictions owing to the spread of Deltapur—the latest variant of illness.
