Sooryavanshi has done it. In just 2 days, the Akshay Kumar starrer has surpassed the Rs. 50 crores mark, with over Rs. 24 crore more added on Saturday alone! With close to Rs 50.14 crores total so far – a tremendous success for the Rohit Shetty-directed film – this movie will go down in history as one of India’s best movies ever released!
That’s because while action scenes are its obvious centerpiece, audiences are also delighted by messages about communal harmony within society which have been well received by nearly everyone. It is no small feat that such an emotional connection with people has been forged; but when you can touch someone’s heart like that through your film, you’re sure to gain their love and attention until the end credits roll!
To put things in perspective, let’s take the latest release of Hindi movies – this is usually when we see what the general public likes and distributes through word-of-mouth. There are many others who wait for reviews before watching a new film.
