The Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi released this week to a thunderous response from the audience. With positive reviews and good audience feedback the business of the film witnessed good collections on opening day. In the overseas markets as well, Sooryavanshi has been doing brisk business. Released across 1,300 screens in the overseas markets the film has managed to post rather good opening day figures.
In fact, Sooryavanshi manages to collect over $3 million dollars (roughly Rs 18 crore) at box office within first 24 hours of release abroad which is enough for an average Bollywood movie release abroad but given that it’s an Indian movie made locally with such medium-scale production values these are extremely impressive numbers!
Given the hype surrounding Sooryavanshi, and the fact that it was the first major Bollywood release since the pandemic – many analysts predicted it would outperform other films from this year already. These predictions proved true when so far, trade analysts predict its projected earnings will continue growing as time goes on. They even estimate that it has a shot at becoming one of India’s highest earners in recent years.
