The predictions were being made. The skeptics had been silenced. Sooryavanshi has become an amazing success despite receiving mixed reviews from critics after performing well at the box office over the weekend. Despite all those doubts that people harbored around whether it would do well or not, the film managed to earn enough money for producers to make a profit – something they haven’t seen since before pandemic time started up. No one knows what an audience will think of a new movie coming out these days – but this gamble paid off and proved them wrong in every way possible!
The film has earned a total of over 77.08 crores rupees in just three days time, which includes an additional 26.94 crore rupees on Sunday! With Friday already being great at around 26.29 crore rupees and Saturday also doing very well with 23.85 crore rupees – it’s no surprise that the word-of-mouth for this action packed movie is incredible! This then results in people from all types of demographics watching the movie; from kids to adults, women to men etcetera; thus making it one of the most successful films so far this year!
To think about it, had these been pre-pandemic times – the patriotic film with a universal message of community peace would have become an instant success. Out of all Indian movies ever made, only eleven Hindi films have reached this rank and Sooryavanshi could well have joined them. However, given how uncertain the current climate is for cinema – the amount that Sooryavanshi earns will still be remarkable considering its ranking as one of the Top 20 highest-grossing opening weekends ever. As such, Sooryavanshi is a clear success so far but now we’ll just need to wait and see if it can maintain steady growth until people deem it to be either very successful or an over-all block buster hit.
