Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer Laxmii made its way to the streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar on November 9, 2020. As theatres had closed due to the coronavirus pandemic in late March, many films saw a direct-to-OTT release. With most of these theatres opening up again on 50% capacity, some earlier movies are hitting screens while very few new releases may happen on a large screen.
Out of all the movies seeing no theatrical release would be Laxmi, which can only be seen in India. The film was released internationally [in UAE, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji] but there were limited screenings happening throughout each territory.
