Finally, after months of waiting for the perfect date, Jersey will be released on this Friday. The film has been through many obstacles to reach its final destination. Initially scheduled for December 31st – the release date was pushed back when Hurricane Matthew hit Haiti and cinemas were shut down. Soon enough though, the makers decided to bring it back from the dead releasing it last week instead; most likely due to KGF’s success which stole all attention off other films with their late arrival.
Now that the film has arrived, it is sure to have a large amount of screens and showings available for its own benefit. And while one might say that Shahid Kapoor’s new movie coming out so many years later than when he gave us this all time blockbuster Jersey might deserve more screen time – it still can’t compete with what KGF- Chapter 2 (Hindi) already has going for it.
After all, this isn’t just another movie; this is another chapter in the KGF franchise which means people are eagerly anticipating and waiting to see what this sequel brings them next! As such, even though both movies will certainly do well because they’re great movies in their own right, Jersey should still take home about two thirds of the money earned by KGF on opening day alone.
