Released just over a week ago, the Kartik Aaryan- Kiara Advani starring Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has been garnering huge revenues from moviegoers. With competition coming from other recent releases as well, this Anees Bazmee directed feature has found success despite it all. In its opening weekend alone, the film was able to rake in revenue worth nearly Rs. 50 crores before it went past the Rs. 100 crore mark too! On Day 11, collecting Rs. 5.55 crores, it has now emerged as the fourth highest second Monday grosser of 2022 – taking after releases like The Kashmir Files which collected Rs. 12.4 crores, KGF – Chapter 2 which collected Rs. 8.28 crores, and RRR which collected Rss 7 crores; though preceded by these films in terms of raw numbers with regards to day-wise collections; it still remains one of the two only Hindi language films so far (alongside Gangubai Kathiawadi) that managed to surpass the threshold for having exceeded a collection total on their respective second Mondays of over 5 crore rupees (roughly $700k USD).
Going forward, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which was able to beat all expectations made it pass the Rs. 125 crore mark. Showing that a film well-received by audiences can still have a big impact on the box office, the film continued moving ahead. As per this current trend, when we look at how much money has been made so far, over time the total revenue for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will eventually surpass the Rs. 150 crore mark before its second week is up.
