The story-driven action blockbuster, Heropanti 2 could not capitalize on this Eid weekend – given that it had such poor showing through the whole week. Early estimates note that Tiger Shroff’s second installment of his Khiladi franchise has managed to earn around Rs. 120-130 Crore in less than two weeks – before screenings were even cancelled due to them opening during Ramzan month.
This falls short when looking at his success with similar Hindi language movies like ‘Action Replayy’ or ‘Munnabhai M Kabhi Had Ke Duwase’. However it was the audience who ultimately chose the lack of interest for Heropanti 2 – and many social media users took to Twitter noting this as well. With concerns being raised about how a well-known brand (Shroff) struggled financially just after releasing another bad movie under its belt; both distributors and shareholders seem anxious about what will happen if reviews continue saying no stars worth investing in.
