Drishyam starring Ajay Devgn was released just over two weeks ago at the China box office. Surprisingly, unlike past films, it failed to receive much of a bump after its first few days on release.
Now, on day 26 of its release Drishyam has managed to draw in an additional $80,000 at the Chinese Box Office; totaling $4.13 million [Rs. 31.95 crore] so far. After attracting only a limited audience for most of its run due to China’s restrictions against imported films during this time of crisis, it seems that now people are finally willing to see it after hearing about how good it was from those who’ve seen it before them.
Going forward, trade predictions for the film’s business at the China box office say it won’t likely see much growth. They predict that Drishyam will receive some earnings from ticket sales but won’t rise significantly in revenue.
