The Ajay Devgn starred film, Drishyam was released 28 days ago in China. In spite of having a less than stellar opening week, the film has seen little improvement over time. It is unlike other Indian films which have done well at the Chinese Box Office previously; but it seems as though Drishyam does not have what it takes to do well in this market.
Now on day 28, Drishyam has collected an additional USD 80,000 [Rs. 61.89 lakhs], bringing its total income from the Chinese market to $4.25 million [Rs. 32.84 cr.] – so far unharmed by the Covid-19 virus that had caused other films’ screenings in China to be cancelled for weeks now.
Going forward, the business of Drishyam at the China Box Office is not expected to grow. Trade predictions say that it will continue to collect money but will not make any significant profits.
