Underneath all of the hype surrounding this fairly well received movie, there is one thing about it that stands out: how much money it made. On day 1, the Bhushan Kumar – Murad Khetani production collected Rs. 14.11 cr . This number continued to grow during its opening weekend, amassing a total of Rs 13 cr so far. And now after five days of being in theaters and continuing to entertain crowds everywhere- what do you know? The movie just passed $76 million dollars worldwide gross!
Interestingly, the film continues to enjoy incredible trending and has managed to hold steady at the box office. With its collections continuing to hover around the Rs. 9-10 cr mark daily, the film has now managed to make it across the Rs. 100 cr mark. Collecting Rs. 109.92 crores in 8 days of its release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has now become the 99th Hindi release to enter Bollywood’s highly coveted Rs. 100 crore club; if that wasn’t enough, this movie was released across 3200 screens in India – making it lead actor Kartik Aaryan’s second movie to cross over USD $100 million (Rs 930 crores).
Going forward, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is expected to see its numbers increase steadily. With little competition out there, it is also very likely that moviegoers will come back multiple times just to watch the popular film again and again – even if it was released only last week!
