The recent release of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, pulled in an impressive Rs.14.11 crore on Day 1; but it was only getting started. Already breaking records after just two days, the film’s success continues to grow thanks to its strong opening numbers and positive critical reviews from audiences across India.
As per advance reports, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 saw an occupancy rate of about 70% for the morning and early afternoons showings. Furthermore, trade predictions and booking rates suggested that this occupancy would increase to approximately 90% for evening and night showings; with mass dominated circuits witnessing a big jump on Saturday continuing through its second Sunday too.
Based on the numbers obtained from Sunday collections, it is possible that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will make Rs. 13-14 crores during its opening weekend in India alone. Assuming that this momentum continues throughout the week, it can easily hit R30 crores for the second weekend – propelling it into top 25 highest second weekends grossers of all time. Moreover, given how fast people are consuming tickets for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 currently, and how rapidly it’s trending upwards; we can reasonably expect to see a revenue total nearing Rs150 crore by the time all theatres stop screening it later down the line.
