This week, director Anees Bazmee released his new movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani to an overwhelming reception. The movie premiered on about 3200 screens around the country (over 2700 domestically) which led it to make Rs. 50 crores during just one weekend- record breaking for Indian movies. Reviews from audiences and critics alike have been overwhelmingly positive so far with the majority of people booking tickets in advance before even seeing it, meaning that this film will be unstoppable in India because there’s not much stopping it.
In just eight days since its release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has managed to collect an impressive Rs.XXX Cr (crossing the 100 Cr mark) with an average rating of ‘3’ out of 5 stars on most review websites. Director Anees Bazmee joins other talented filmmakers like Siddharth Anand, Nitesh Tiwari, and Indra Kumar – all directors that have had films cross the 100 crore mark. Just last year – Anees Bazmee’s previous film Ready collected around Rs.119.78 Cr during its theatrical run; while this time around, Bhol bhuliya 2 collected this amount in just eight days!
As of now, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 continues to run in theatres with audiences patronizing the film in droves. With its success without any competitors and given this trend, it is predicted that this movie will reach an estimate value of Rs. 150 cr by the end of its second weekend – if there are no unfortunate setbacks for the time being.
