Rumored for months before its release, the much-talked about Kartik Aaryan – Kiara Advani starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 opened last week on Friday. Opening at a decent pace with Rs. 14.11 cr on day one, the story of two friends who are roped in to save their village from an evil spirit had audiences come back for more over this past weekend accumulating 55.96 cr by Sunday evening into Monday morning. With steady revenue generation since then, including crossing 100 crore rupees (Rs.) in under two weeks since debuting, producers Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani couldn’t be happier with how this movie has turned out so far.
Not surprisingly, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which saw an incredible rate of advance bookings, with audiences thronging theatres, has managed to draw in Rs. 109.92 crores making it the fifth release of 2022 to enter the Rs. 100 Crore Club. If that was not all, the film also ranks as the third Bollywood release to achieve this feat following other releases like The Kashmir Files and Gangubai Kathiawadi that have crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark this year.
Currently, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 continues to run to packed houses. Released across 3200 screens in the domestic market the film is expected to continue its box office run despite new releases hitting screens. In fact, as per trade predictions, if the film maintains its current momentum the overall business of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will certainly come close to reaching Rs.150 crores over this next week.
