Bhoool Bhulaiyaa 2 saw an excellent increase in collections on the second Sunday after a good hold from Friday and increased from Saturday. There are estimates which state that it could be anywhere between Rs. 12.50 to Rs. 13.50 crores for this 10th day and with current totals at about Rs 122 crores, this would put it as one of the best second weekends out there. As far as other movies go, it seems to place itself among some of the most successful ones – coming up among one of top 25 highest second weekend grossers all time!
Despite the IPL final, Bollywood movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 had an occupancy rate of up to 90% in late evenings which resulted in the total day collection being only just short of Rs. 200 crores. The increase can be attributed to more people coming out for movie-going after work or after watching Cricket matches at home all day. Despite this uptick, there was a decrease in viewers who watched the film during its first half because many headed home earlier than usual because they wanted to watch the IPL finals live on TV and were therefore unavailable for later showings.
The film has already become the most profitable movie of Kartik Aaryan by breaking records set before it. While Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety made Rs. 108.95 crore (USD $1,700), this movie currently sits at a huge 137.07 crore (USD $2,130). Due to its steady increase in ticket sales and popularity growing even stronger – one can assume that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will break all previous records as well and go on to make over Rs. 150 crores (USD $2,500) by the end of its theatrical release and go down in history as one of India’s most successful films ever created.
