Housefull 4 continues to dominate the box office, with Saand Ki Aankh and Ujda Chaman putting in modest performances. Neither of these films have managed to achieve collections higher than Rs. 1 crore despite being shown at multiple screens and competing against an established week-old movie.
Ujda Chaman had no signs of becoming a successful movie, however, it saw a satisfactory debut and showed a decent tendency over the weekend, suggesting some kind of revenue could be expected. Contrary to the Friday revenue of Rs. 2.35 crores, this week only managed to collect Rs. 0.80 crores – bringing its total so far to Rs. 10.96 crores. It appears that Sunny Singh’s flick may only just manage to scrape past the milestone of Rs 15 crores by its conclusion.
The movie Saand Ki Aankh had great media backing, in comparison to the other Diwali release Housefull 4; however its box office collections were below expectation. This week the movie should have made a decent amount but its Tuesday collection was only Rs 0.80 crores, which for a movie of this size isn’t bad, but not great considering how poorly it performed in its first week resulting in an overall collection of just Rs 18.77 crores.
