Housefull 4 exceeded the Rs. 50 crore benchmark after its first weekend in theatres. Sunday brought an additional Rs. 15.33 crore, with the most attendance occurring in afternoon screenings. However, as expected, evening and night showings were impacted by Diwali celebrations – something that’s to be expected for major films, of which Housefull 4 is no exception.
So far, the Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios film has already amassed a sum of Rs. 53.22 crores in collections. As it is time for its big release day today, many would expect that a movie with such popularity and magnitude could collect up to Rs. 25 crores. Nonetheless, being Monday, there may be limited establishments which remain open. Moreover, people’s response to the movie can be judged by the occupancy rate as more screenings are shown throughout the day.
Optimistically, it is expected that Monday will become the most successful day of the film so far and exceed Rs. 20 crores in earnings.
