The Mikhil Musale-directed movie, Made In China, had a slow start to its theatrical run in its opening week with a collection of Rs. 10.50 crores. Although the film saw a bit of an upturn following Diwali celebrations, it began to slide downwards once again. The film’s ability to maintain relevance relied on it remaining near Monday’s collections of Rs. 3 crores in the subsequent days.
Rajkummar Rai and Mouni Roy’s latest feature was more successful than Saand Ki Aankh at the box office over its opening weekend, though the margin between the two began to lessen in subsequent days. Housefull 4 had no close competition, since it ran on an entirely different level compared to other movies playing; though War wasn’t far behind.
This week, the movie has limited showings, yet is set to find success via digital streaming soon. Thanks to its careful budgeting of 25 crore rupees and subsequent profits from satellite, digital, and music rights, its producers are already seeing a return on their investment.
