Saand Ki Aankh performed respectably on its second Friday, bringing in Rs. 1.28 crores. Compared to Thursday’s collections of Rs. 1.54 crores, there was not a large drop-off and this stability is encouraging for a strong second week total. Even more noteworthy is the growth when compared to the opening day figures of Rs 0.48 crores; these are more than double which speaks to positive momentum going forward, although one must consider that the initial numbers were too low to begin with.
The film has already amassed Rs. 12.96 crores and a substantial jump in its numbers is anticipated today. It is quite likely that the collections will double on Friday, followed by similar results on Sunday.
Housefull 4’s Diwali clash drastically reduced the movie’s expected box office earnings. Despite this, it is still playing in theatres, providing a steady income this week. But with Bala hitting cinemas next week, one wonders if Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar’s film will manage to stay afloat post its release.
