On Sunday, the movie was able to gross Rs. 3.61 crores. Now, it needs to perform solidly throughout the rest of the weekdays in order to have a successful run at the box office. If Sunny Singh’s film is able to stay above the Rs. 2 crore mark today as well, then that would be quite encouraging. It is essential that this flick does not see a 50% decline in revenue from Friday to Monday, since even bigger titles that opened with over Rs 10 crores on Friday are displaying far more solid hold-over on Mondays recently.
Analyzing the financial situation, this small-budget film is a safe bet. Yet, its theatrical success is still uncertain; we must wait and see how much money Ujda Chaman brings in at the box office before it departs theaters.
