The eagerly awaited mega blockbuster movie RRR has finally hit theatres across the world. Co-directed by SS Rajamouli, who also stars in it alongside Ram Charan, Jr. NTR and Alia Bhatt, among others, it’s managed to generate one of the most anticipatory buzzes in recent history. With all that hype around the production, estimates suggest that it will make up for a hefty opening gross globally; with its international numbers already starting off on fire!
In America—its first port of call—RRR started out with a massive bang, taking home $3.2 million (approx Rs24 crore) from paid preview screenings on just Thursday alone; and adding another $270k (approx Rs2 crore) from Canada too! This lands them at $3.4 million (approx Rs24 crores) for previews alone overseas so far!
If that wasn’t enough, in the international marketplaces of UK, Australia, and New Zealand the film has been seeing sensational results. In reality, within the UK alone RRR has seen its profits soar with £238,313 [Rs.2.4 crores] coming in currently. Considering this current trend it is expected that RRR which has received favorable feedback across the board will experience even more financial success going forward.
