The Ram Charan-Junior NTR stars in the SS Rajamouli directed RRR, which also features Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn hit screens on Friday last week. Opening just after what was arguably the biggest event for Indian cinema this decade – Baahubali – many had high hopes for this new project from Rajamouli, but little did they know it would surpass all expectations! The film broke records with its opening numbers and living up to these expectations from fans around the world.

After only four days of premier, RRR managed to achieve Rs. 17cr total on its first Monday which beat both Golmaal Again and Sultan making it one out of eighteen movies so far to do so in India.
And though there are many top-grossers released before it – such as The Kashmir Files or Happy New Year, none have come close to beating the international success held by Ranveer Singh who plays leading role Keshav Patwardhan in RRR– who has made headlines even without stepping out his house. Trade analysts predict no less than 150 cr (approximately US $23 million) income within seven days; but after five full days released, they say it will likely surpass ₹100 crore (US$15m).
